Beyond being in the same class at Shermer High School in Shermer, Illinois, Claire Standish, Andrew Clark, John Bender, Brian Johnson and Allison Reynolds have little in common, and with the exception of Claire and Andrew, do not associate with each other in school. Each is required to write a minimum one thousand word essay during that time about who they think they are. At the beginning of those nine hours, each, if they were indeed planning on writing that essay, would probably write something close to what the world sees of them, and what they have been brainwashed into believing of themselves. But based on their adventures during that nine hours, they may come to a different opinion of themselves and the other four

NO DAD WHAT ABOUT YOU! This movie was way ahead of its time this should be shown in every high school across the state! High School has changed now kids who get bullied end up dead by suicide or on social media, the teachers now look like supermodels and you can get away with more things in high School, everyone has computers, cell phones, i pod, police walking the hallways and cameras watching everyone's move! I miss the old days when you could come and go as you wanted now forget it! Now High School has graveyards and also in every town every state there is that one kid that everyone knows about, that laughs at and bullies to the point where they shoot up the school to make a point that one kid boy or girl who sits in class my himself or herself. Alone People should be nice to the weird kid in school! Knowning John Bender if he went to school now he would shoot up the entire high school just to make a point.
